About Us

OUR APPROACH AND COMMITMENT

Every Child in Buds to Blossoms Nursery is given individual attention, care and love for a constructive and enjoyable learning process.

The Management

The members of the management team who have qualifications in Childcare and Child Psychology and with over 25 years of experience in childcare take pride in educating and nurturing the children by creating a ‘home from home’ environment. The management team is well aware of giving the child a suitable equivalent of parental care and love, and try its utmost to satisfy parental expectations in the emotional, academic and psychological development of the child.

Our Approach and Commitment

Every child has a twinkle in his or her eyes for learning and gathering information, and we aim to nurture and enhance their intrinsic capabilities and talents; or we may say, ‘SPARKLE’ their desire for constructive and enjoyable learning experiences.

Children will always be encouraged to give out their best by self-initiated and voluntary actions. They will also be stimulated to create in a non-competitive situation; working in close association with other children in a group atmosphere, yet guided individually by the nursery staff on a pre-planned programme to suit each child’s own pace. They either work alone or together or in small groups, sharing their emotions, capabilities, and experiences, to encompass a wider assimilation of progressive ideas.

SAFETY OF CHILDREN

This is of paramount importance. The main door with safety devices and a phone enters children brought by parents after identification. Children are handed over to parents or others nominated by them previously, only after careful scrutiny. We are very strict on this procedure.

CURRICULUM

Our curriculum is based on the programmes specified by the government controlling bodies of Early Years Education- OFSTED and EYFS

Communication, Language and Literacy

The intrinsic power of children to absorb languages in the early years is well known. This skill is promoted. Sand -paper letters are introduced to give the child phonetic sounds of the letters of the alphabet. Each child is allowed to work at his own pace, and gradually through practice and guidance on a regular basis, they are allowed to develop their skills in listening, writing, reading and communication, thereby accumulating a large and accurate vocabulary.

Geography- Knowledge and Understanding of the World

Topic weeks where photographs, maps, flags, and water forms of different countries of the world, along with world globes are shown and explained to them, also where various countries are placed in the planet EARTH. The child will also be given the knowledge of different climates and ways of life of people living in different countries of the world.

Science

The interest in the child to the wonders of science is used to demonstrate simple scientific experiments illustrating the laws of gravity, sound, magnetism and heat.

Mathematics

Mathematics materials are introduced to the child to give the child a sound understanding of the numbers and their relationships with one another.

Progressively, the child is encouraged to understand the use of numbers; and also addition, subtraction, multiplication and division principles. Tables, fractions, and knowledge of shapes including squares, circles, spheres, cones, cubes etc. are also introduced.

Creative Development

Painting, drawing, stencilling, collage and various other forms of creative activities and sewing too are available to children. Art sessions naturally promote their interest to express their emotions and desires. They are also given opportunities to print using blocks of shapes, make simple objects, cards and models etc. ART CARDS are shown to children to view paintings and sculptures of famous artists.

Physical Education

The development of gross motor skills is accomplished through individual and group activities both in the class room and outdoors. Children are encouraged to hop, jump, climb, catch, stretch and balance themselves etc.

Nursery staff members are always alert to keep all children under careful scrutiny to ensure their safety.
